The Head of the Jakarta Metro Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police, Joko Susilo, suspected that the unfortunate incident was initiated by sparks from the welding equipment of construction workers who were repairing the dome. For this reason, the police detained a welder and his two foremen for questioning. Until now, the victims are not known, including the amount of losses due to the fire.
